Dear Mac OS X Tw users,
two more things I forgot to mention that should be checked:
4) Do images (e.g., jpegs) embedded in pdfs display correctly? Random
example file: http://arxiv.org/pdf/1405.7247 pages 3 & 5
5) Is there a long list of text codecs? To check, open a TeX window and
click on the encoding box in the status bar (by default, it probably
shows UTF-8). The list should include UTF-8/16/32 variants, a lot of
ISO-8859 encodings, a lot of "windows" encodings, "macintosh",
"Shift_JIS", "KOI8", "Big5", "EUC-JP", and a couple of others.
These two points are to check that there are no support files for image
formats and text codecs missing from the TeXworks.app bundle.
Thanks in advance,
Stefan
