[texworks] Why is TeXWorks so slow on MAC OS X 10.7.4

I downloaded the latest stable version of TeXWorks (whatever that is) but
when I open almost large files (like latex.ltx) with TeXWorks, it takes
ages to load the file whereas with texshop I can open such
files instantaneously.
