Ok,
Since this sort of re-surfaced recently with Duncan Murdoch's post 10
March 2011 "[texworks] Suggestions/questions about TeXworks 0.3r736",
"2. There seems to be something wrong with the font selection in
TeXworks. If I open the file
http://www.stats.uwo.ca/faculty/murdoch/temp/texworks/doc-002.pdf
..." blocks instead of circles.
I focused on Duncan's sample document - "doc-002.pdf"
Opened it in the Tw previewer using 0.4 rev759 "official"
And due to Stafan making the fonts available the circles were nicely
diplayed. Closed the document.
Renamed the fonts directory in my Tw config area to "fontsX"
Reopened Duncann's sample document - no text/ fonting showing at all !
, only graph's perimeter frame and step mark lines.
Restored the fonts directory name in my Tw config area to "fonts"
Reopened Duncann's sample document - circles and everything all fine!
That was using 0.4 rev 759.
Repeated using 0.5 rev 773 (should revisions reset to zero with 0.5?)
Same results: text / no text / text again.
May be this helps with ...
