[texworks] \includegraphics prlem with xelatex on Mac Ox

Hello,
I'm having a little problem with \includegraphics with xelatex on Mac
Ox. I'm getting the error message ,-

Unable to load picture of pdf file 'new_picture.eps'.

However the same the .tex file complies and works perfectly with
xelatex on windows.
In both cases I'm using Texworks. I'm going crazy with this problem on
Mac,. Any help will be deeply
appreciated. Thank you.
