Sorry, I've no idea about that. Given the "apt" in the name, I imagine you're referring to a Linux installer connected with apt-get. I know nothing about apt-get, unfortunately (other than the Fink package management system on the Mac is based on it).

Reinhard Kotucha mentioned a TeX Live network installer (I had forgotten there was one), it could provide the kind of functionality you're looking for.
