[texworks] Correction to: TeXworks creates A4 paper size PDF (not Letter Size) with MikTeX 2.8

I'd like to correct my earlier post with the above title.

The problem is NOT with Texworks but seems to be with the pdfLaTeX that
comes with MikTex 2.8.

With MikTeX 2.8 TeXnicCenter will also generate A4 (even if I specify
Lettersize), but will generate the correct lettersize if I use MikTeX 2.7.

The solution for this problem, I guess, is to use the geometry package:
