Just out of curiosity: This means that Windows-MikTeX Users use  
version of epstopdf-script that differs from
http://ctan.org/tex-archive/help/Catalogue/entries/epstopdf.html?

In TeXLive, epstopdf (the script) is updated from time to time.....
