On the two other accounts on my mac TeXWorks woks fine including preferences, just on my account it hangs. I disabled my own fonts, but no change :(

From system.log:
[0x0-0x95a95a].org.tug.texworks[19469]: Qt: internal: -108: Error ATSUMeasureTextImage text/qfontengine_mac.mm: 1092

Google finds the QTBUG-5088, describing this problem, but with no resolution.

Xcode Instruments shows constant memory allocation "CFString" (>150 MB).

Activity Monitor sample is attached.

Hope this helps
Helge
