I have just posted a page at http://code.google.com/p/texworks/wiki/ScriptingTeXworks 
  with some preliminary notes, for anyone interested in experimenting  
with the scripting features.

Remember that there may yet be extensive changes to all this; I am not  
promising that scripts written for this version will continue to work  
unchanged in future releases, as the interfaces will probably get a  
major overhaul before I consider things stable.
