[texworks] an issue with editing

Hi all,

I am running texworks (rev. 167) on a kubuntu hardy heron. Most of the
time texworks works fine, however every so often it displays the
following strange behavior,

when I add something like "\begin{   "

then the system hangs at the type of {

This seems to happen only when I add the line near the very top of a
reasonably long .tex file.
This is annoying, so my work around is to close texworks, open the
file in kile, add the line and then get back to texworks.

My preliminary hunch may be that it could be searching for a closing
brace in the long document.. and gets hung, but I could be totally
off.
