If Mailman is the cuplrit then everybody should get the same result.

BTW, Mailman manages mailing lists and thus is aware of e-mail
addresses only.  It isn't aware of the contents of the mails.

Mail Tranfer Agents like Sendmail, Postfix, or Exim don't touch the
contents either.  The problems are caused by e-mail clients which try
to be smarter than their users.
