hyperref and \verb

There is a package called |fancyvrb| that should be loaded prior to the |hyperref| package. Then, after |hyperref| is loaded, you can add a line to your file: 

\VerbatimFootnotes % Enable fancyvrb package to work in footnotes 

The program I use to convert my source files to LaTeX files for typesetting C code into a book uses verbatim quotes of code extensively, and the above allows verbatim code to be quoted in footnotes. It seems to work in my case.
