Info Requested: Java Dependencies for Tex Users Group software

Tex Users Group,

I am inquiring if the following software needs Oracle Java installed to function properly. Is Java a prerequisite for the software? If so, will the software work with OpenJDK or another flavor of Java?

        Tex Live Version 2019
