I can't find file `pplb8t' in texlive-small

I am using texlive installation. I did not install using apt-get. I followed the texlive installation instructions
https://www.tug.org/texlive/quickinstall.html
and ran install-tl with scheme-small

You'll have to get the container to include the "palatino" package. I
don't know where Ubuntu puts it. It's in collection-fontsrecommended in
native TeX Live. --best, karl.
