[texhax] LGR for xelatex/lualatex

The problem seems to be that \setsansfont in
fontspec creates a "new" family FiraSans(0) and then
\fontencoding{LGR}\selectfont looks for a FiraSans(0)...fd,
which doesn't exist.

If I use 

\fontencoding{LGR}\fontfamily{FiraSans-...}\selectfont

all is well.  Is there a better solution?
