hello, geir,

I am not sure this is the right place to ask, but anyhow I do it. I am using alphaX

    for writing the tex-files.

I just installed Yosemite on my MacBook, but I can not launch Tex from alpha anymore?.

    The console says:
/bin/sh: line 1: pdflatex: command not found
TeX returned non zero exit status

    Can anyone help me?

quite a few questions about yosemite
have been posted to tex.stackexchange
over the past week or two. and a lot
of information has been posted in reply.

take a look at this question:

  http://tex.stackexchange.com/questions/208181/why-did-my-tex-related-gui-program-stop-working-in-mac-os-x-yosemite

and after that, enter "yosemite" into
the search box at the upper-right-hand
corner to see what else is there. i
think you will find some useful material.

good luck -- seeing this traffic makes
me very leery of upgrading to yosemite!
