I'm not sure about others, but I'd consider this question better
farmed out to a forum or mailing list more dedicated to this sort of
thing. In general, I assume that a TikZ/PGF group (or any group
focused on X) is here to ask and answer questions about how to use
TikZ (or X), not fonts (or ~X).

Do a google search of "font forum" and I'm sure you'll find something
better than here. For starters, here are two that look to be dedicated
to *exactly* what you're trying to do (which were in the top 10 to
that exact search):
