[texhax] Thomas Rendleman - Latex

I love latex.
I normally can figure out just about anything but this situation I  
experiencing a problem in finding resources.

My situation is I am on a client-side computer and ssh into the root  
of a server. This server has latex on it. Each time I want to use  
latex I have to add the $PATH variable. I can't seem to find any  
documentation. The server is Centos/Apache and it would mean a great  
deal to make the $PATH variable into a permanent structure so I can  
run it using cron.
