Dear Philip
Thank you for the instruction and nice quotations. Although, please, let me clarify the problem by an example: suppose i have tables like below
\begin{table}[hbt]
\caption{Strings }
\centering
\begin{tabular}{|c|c|}
\hline
Number &Codification\\
\hline
1 & $a^{2}b$\\
2 & $a^{2}ba^{3}b$\\
3 & $ba^{3}b $\\
4 & $a^{3}ba^{3}\\
5 & $a^{3}ba^{3}ba\\
6 & $ a^{3}ba^{3}ba^{4}ba^{3}ba^{5}ba^{4}ba^{3}ba^{4}b$\\
7 & $a^{3}ba^{5}ba\\
\hline
\end{tabular}
\label{tab:accepted}
\end{table}
And i need another kind of tables (different layout) that i call simply "Box".
My question is: is it possible to construct (in the same document) table labels writen 1) Table or 2) Box (or other name}? In other words, which LaTeX facility should i follow to use the "table" environment in two situations in the same document (and having the listings of tables and boxes of all document)?
Regards
Leon

The answers to these quesions can all be found in various guides to LaTeX.
1) \renewcommand\tablename{Box}
2) automagic
3) \listoftables
Or, to define a new environment, try looking at the "float" package.

Wasn't he the idiot who tried to electrocute himself by
