I am utterly flabbergasted with the ridiculousness of this over-reaction.
For the record I sent Mr. Stanley the one line message:

(note the smiley) in response to his querulous posting

which I thought was a bit over the top. I sent the email to Mr. Stanley
only, rather than to the list, to avoid cluttering the list with irrelevancies,
and to avoid the sort of endless non-technical bickering that this
discussion has unfortunately become.
To categorize that one brief whimsical email as ``harassment'' beggars
belief.
Also for the record, I will certainly ***never*** send Mr. Stanley a
private email again.
