[texhax] Using MiKTeX on DVD-R

Hi, 

I purchased MiKTeX on DVD-R and installed it so that I can used from my computer hard drive.

Although I have a little experience with Latex, I cannot see how to view my files. Using YAP, I get the message that my file is  not a DVI file. My file is saved as a .tex file.

With the installation I have I do not see how to create a DVI file. 

Can you please help me with this problem.
