There are HUGE numbers of documents being stored in PDF format now,
including TeX/LaTeX/ConTeXt documents, as well as those from other sources.
It's probably *the* pre-eminent digital archiving format.
Therefore, in 30 years, there will absolutely be some accomodation for PDF.
It may be converters as opposed to readers, but there will be some way to
access these documents.
There may still be a small but dedicated following for DVI, still
maintaining some support software, but it will certainly be a fringe effort.
