[texhax] [tex-live] German characters stopped PDF

For Windows OS a correct start for german text might look like this:

\documentclass[fleqn]{book}
\usepackage[T1]{fontenc}
\usepackage[ansinew]{inputenc}
% correct fuer Windows-OS 
\usepackage{txfonts}
\usepackage{ngerman}
.....

But even 'ansinew' a have seen seldom enough.
And I had never any problem with transforming ps to pdf.
