[texhax] Beamer-Like Blocks in Normal Documents?

Hello,
I'm not sure exactly what you mean by blocks, but if you're referring to
the disposition of text, Nicola Talbot's flowfram is one wonderful
package, which moreover can be visually configured thanks to her
jpgfdraw Java program. The textpos package may also be used.
