why are you at #MiKTeX and want to install "to TeXnicCenter"? Right before there is the link to 

    http://www.tug.org/protext

where installation may be simpler. It *is* step by step. 

Also the other things on the page are explained "step by step". 
If you don't understand this ... I understand Alex' idea ... 
If you have to write a thesis in English ... you might need to attend a course ...
