[texhax] Latex Query

Hi,

	I have a query regarding LaTex Page Numbering, I have a document
in which i dont want the page number on first page, I tried using 
\thispagestyle(empty} but after that i cant see my footer too , i just 
want to remove the page number but want my footer to be intact. 

	Can u please help me in this, expecting ur reply with a super 
solution to my unsual problem.
