[texhax] how to prevent dvips from breaking literal PS string

Dear TeXperts,

if a \pdfmark contains long Postscript strings with embedded space, such as
(abc def ghi...), dvips breaks such strings into multiple lines in the
resulting PS. But I don't want long single line strings to be broken.

Could you give me some piece of advice, how to achieve this? Thanks!
