No problem at all.  I was actually glad to know.

    As I originally installed proTeXt from a TeXLive DVD, I  
    thought that was TeXLive for Windows.

This is the difference between the "TeX Collection" (= TeX Live +
protext + MacTeX + CTAN) and "TeX Live" (a single TeX distribution)
introduced a couple years ago.  The naming is a bit confusing ...
