[texhax] DVIPS problem

Dear TUG,

I am very new to teTeX. I am facing problem in DVI to PS conversion. When I
execute the DVIPS command, as mention below:
$ dvips test.dvi -o test.ps

I am getting error like:
<ptmri8a.pfb><rmtmi.pfb><tmfl.pfb> Second number not found in Char string of
'/FontName'

Can anybody tell me what is the exact problem is? and how to correct such
type of errors.
