Hello Folks,

I'm currently using TeXMAKER, a GUI LaTeX editor from
http://www.xm1math.net/texmaker/.

I don't have any issues with this program -- it works fine, and I'm very happy
with it.

If I type the word \LaTeX -- within LaTeX -- it will typeset the LaTeX logo,
as seen at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LaTeX, irrespective of whether I use
TeXMAKER, or VIM-LaTeX, or emacs-auctex. The result is the same.

In my day-to-day work, I also use the LaTeX editor LyX from
http://www.lyx.org.

In my writing, I want to typeset the LyX logo within LaTeX -- where the y in
LyX is in uppercase lettering, and slightly lowered. Like the letter e in TeX
or LaTeX or MikTeX.

Is there a way of being able to do this? I can do this within LyX, but not in
LaTeX.

I've scoured forums, and helpsites, with no luck.

Thanks,

Mark Stephenson.
