The Open University is the UK's leading provider
of distance learning. It uses TeX for the production
of mathematics, upper level physics, and some computer
science courses. Learning and Teaching Solutions
(LTS) is within the Open University responsible for
the publishing aspects of course production.
LTS wishes to engage a freelance TeX consultant.
This is to provide an estimated 20 to 30 days work,
between January and June 2007. This work arises
because the full-time TeX expert in LTS will be heavily
engaged in additional TeX-related work during this
period.
This person might be asked, for example, to debug TeX
related production problems, develop style files, and
create build scripts for TeX items. Occasional visits
to the OU at Milton Keynes will be required.
