Wrong version of ChkTeX distributed

First off, thanks for all your work on TeX Live.  I know it's often a
thankless job, but it really is very useful.

It appears that the wrong version of chktex is being distributed in TeX
Live.  This was brought to my attention by a Stack Exchange question:

I checked the version installed, and not only does it identify as 1.7.8
instead of 1.7.9 (see below), I also checked that it still has a bug that
was fixed in 1.7.9.  I checked CTAN and it seems to have the right tarball.

On a related note, the documentation file, ChkTeX.pdf, is for version 1.7.6.

Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help, though I'm not
