Download standalone archive of TeX-Live

You could probably rsync the whole archive to your disk:

rsync -a --delete
rsync://rsync.dante.ctan.org/CTAN/systems/texlive/tlnet/
/web/texlivemirror

and then use the location parameter during installation:

install-tl.sh --location <path>
