I do not know the details, I have KDE and when the logging screen
appears, it offers me either Plasma or Wayland. I have many
irreproduvible problems with Wayland and switching keyboard layouts
almost always chooses a different one than I need, no matter whether I
use configured shortcut or select it by clicking. I have two computers
with GUI and it happens equally irreproducibly on both.
