TeX Live and pdflatex from source

    - Karl mentioned copying over your binaries over the ones provided by
      TeX Live, but I don't think this is a good idea, 
      since updates might updated the binaries

Well ... not until TL24, and just doing "tlmgr update" will not manage
that change :). That's why I figured overwriting would suffice.

But you're certainly right that "custom" binaries is the more solid
