texdoc topic

Hi,

For many years texdoc topic opened TeX by Topic, or so I think.

Currently I get

$ texdoc -l topic
 1 /somepath/texlive/2019/texmf-dist/doc/latex/bibtopic/bibtopic.pdf
   = Package documentation
 2 /somepath/texlive/2019/texmf-dist/doc/latex/bibtopicprefix/bibtopicprefix.pdf
   = Package documentation
 3 /somepath/texlive/2019/texmf-dist/doc/latex/topiclongtable/topiclongtable-doc.pdf
   = Package documentation
 4 /somepath/texlive/2019/texmf-dist/doc/plain/texbytopic/TeXbyTopic.pdf
   = The book itself
 5 /somepath/texlive/2019/texmf-dist/doc/latex/topiclongtable/README.md
   = Readme
 6 /somepath/texlive/2019/texmf-dist/doc/latex/bibtopic/README
   = Readme
 7 /somepath/texlive/2019/texmf-dist/doc/plain/texbytopic/README
   = Readme
 8 /somepath/texlive/2019/texmf-dist/doc/latex/bibtopicprefix/README


This being said, my experience might be related to my laptop
(not the computer I use now) where I have it in $HOME/.texmf (or the Mac OS equivalent)
thus perhaps my experience is wrong and the above is typical.


I would argue that "texdoc topic" should by default open TeX by Topic
