xdvi figure rendering broken with gs 9.26

Hi there,
since texlive 2018 (and 2019), the xdvi program built against latest versions of ghostscript (9.26), does not display figures anymore.

No logs in the console, that's for a built done on Mageia. Full bug report and test case to reproduce here:

Any help on how to debug this welcome.
