Because of your private mail suggesting a problem with reading HKCR,
I have put up a link with a revised version of
tlpkg/TeXLive/TLWinGoo.pm which reads HKCU/Software/Classes and
HKLM/Software/Classes separately instead of HKCR:

Let me know whether your problem still happens.

My own problem with filetypes not being uninstalled under w7_64 is
still unsolved. Because the corresponding file associations _are_
removed, this is less urgent, but I still want to solve it before I
commit a new TLWinGoo.
