It may have been Don's request, but it doesn't look to me
as if it arose spontaneously : it would appear to me to be
more a response to your (RF's) own suggestion "if you would
rather that the package(s) are not in tex live [no doubt
others of your packages are in the same state], perhaps a message to
tex-live at tug.org would be in order, to explain the situation."
