[tex-live] possible problem with thumbpdf

Now: it produces pdf in

lshort-4.3.1/pdfbuild


but it has filesize 1.5 MB vs 2.6 MB of the one in doc and while visibly  
the same it has empty thumbs (pages) in contrast one found in doc.

If I go to lshort-4.3.1/src and run pdflatex lshort and makeidex pdfshort  
etc it produces 1.5 MB file but with visible thumbs/pages; however it is  
shorter, 167 pp out of 168 and probably has slightly different page setup
