[tex-live] Trouble updating TexLive - any suggestions?

I am trying to update my TexLive (tlmgr update --all). It has worked fine
before, but this time I get the following error:

tlmgr: package repository http://mirror.ctan.org/systems/texlive/tlnet
skipping forcibly removed package listofsymbols
Use of uninitialized value $TeXLive::TLPOBJ::pkg in concatenation (.) or 
string at /usr/local/texlive/2009/tlpkg/TeXLive/TLPOBJ.pm line 534.
/usr/local/bin/tlmgr: building  container relocatable but the comon 
prefixis not texmf-dist at 
/usr/local/texlive/2009/tlpkg/TeXLive/TLPOBJ.pm line 534.

The version is:

tlmgr revision 16667 (2010-01-11 01:56:16 +0100) tlmgr using installation:
/usr/local/texlive/2009 TeX Live (http://tug.org/texlive) version 2009

Is anyone else epxeriencing such problems?
