[tex-live] [HELP] Paper size always A4

Hello all,

I have just found out somehow my texlive2010 could only produce A4 size
documents. 

With the following tex .sample:
% --------------------------------
\documentclass[a5paper]{article}

\begin{document}
Test
\end{document}
% --------------------------------

Compiles it with pdflatex and I am seeing this:

Any idea how to fix this? Many thanks.
