[tex-live] Multi layered Footnotes?

about appropriate places to ask (hint: the tex live list is *not* an
approriate place), as well as how to formulate questions.

i take it that you have already tried the *foot* packages in tex live:
footmisc doesn't help; you may imagine that manyfoot sounds hopeful, and
as it happens, bigfoot incorporates the relevant parts of manyfoot.
