	Well, Debian GNU/Linux has about 18000 packages to watch over...

	It's much less trouble for ELF, though, since binaries contain
	lists of the libraries they depend on.

	A tool that performs a minimal installation and then tries every
	package to correctly install and to perform correctly (running
	some package-specific tests, e. g., trying to typeset a sample
	document using the package; building documentation may serve as
	a test) may be useful.
