[tex-k] Bug? \epsilon vs. x

Hi Bertram,

    It is difficult for me to imagine how DEK could write the
    epsilon without the subscript mentioned in the definition.
    I'm interested in whether he did this deliberately.

Thanks for the report.  Yes, I am fairly sure it was intentional. The
epsilon without subscript just means any of the given epsilon arguments
in the for loop.

I think it would be more confusing to say "text(x) was omitted" -- that
would make it seem the entire for loop expanded to nothing, instead of
just the one iteration with the empty argument.

    To search the web if this question has already been asked is
    almost impossible. 

Fully agreed :). The only specific place to search when generic searches
