[tex-k] some garbage in "cannot \read from terminal"/"End of file on the terminal!" error

After discussion with Hironori, I changed a bit (initialize with limit:=0,
to avoid printing "x" which was already input) and committed (r59986).
I guess LuaTeX should also be fixed.
