I am getting a puzzling warning from an otherwise functional and brand-new
compilation of xdvik (the latest CTAN version).

The messages are:

Warning: Cannot convert string "-*-helvetica-medium-r-*-*-12-*-*-*-*-*-*" to type FontStruct
Warning: Cannot convert string "-*-helvetica-medium-r-*-*-10-*-*-*-*-*-*" to type FontStruct

When Emacs 22.3 gave me something similar, I cured it with some xset lines to fill-out the font repertory, and the result of an xslfonts gives:

-adobe-helvetica-medium-r-normal--0-0-0-0-p-0-adobe-standard
-adobe-helvetica-medium-r-normal--0-0-0-0-p-0-iso10646-1
-adobe-helvetica-medium-r-normal--0-0-0-0-p-0-iso8859-1
So what is xdvik looking for, and where? It ought to be satisfied with one or other of those declarations.

I realize that some may find this question to be only marginally TeX related, but xdvik is one of the best tools in a TeX tool kit.
