[tex-k] Patch: engine --version gives uncommon version sequence

Geez.  I see my first ChangeLog entry for printversion is back in 1996.
8 years ago, there was no real attempt at integrating all these
different engines.  In fact the term "engine" itself had not come into
existence.

Regularizing the --version output sounds like a good idea to me.
