[tex-eplain] Problems hyperlinking two pdf files

I'm using the eplain hyperlinks to jump from one pdf file to another, very
simply:

test.tex:
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
\input /home/rodolfo/work/eplain-3.2/tex/eplain/eplain.tex

\enablehyperlinks

\hlopts{ext=.pdf}

My name is George

Fine, thanks

35 years old\hldest{xyz}{}{age}

\break

I'm from Sidney

\vfill\end
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%

test2.tex:
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
\input /home/rodolfo/work/eplain-3.2/tex/eplain/eplain.tex

\enablehyperlinks

\hlopts{ext=.pdf}

\hlstart{filename}{file=test}{age} How old are you?\hlend

\vfill\end
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%

Clicking in test2.pdf drives you at the beginning of test.pdf, whereas the link
points to page 3.

What am I missing?

Thanks for any help
Rodolfo
