It's used in arrow diagrams.  Eplain loads line10
unconditionally, and there's no way to prevent it (short of
editing out the line `\font\tenln=line10' from eplain.tex).

If you don't plan to use the diagram macros, you can just
download line10.tfm from CTAN:fonts/latex/tfm/line10.tfm and
put it in the current directory, just to keep TeX happy.
You might need to tweak your texmf.cnf to read .tfm's from
the current directory (Debian's teTeX does it out of box).
